NBC abruptly fired ‘Today Show’ host Matt Lauer this morning after the network said it received a detailed complaint about “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace,” according to a statement.

CNN reports that “Savannah Guthrie made the announcement at the top of the Today show. Lauer has been the cornerstone of the program, one of the most profitable franchises on television, for two decades. NBC News chairman Andrew Lack said in a memo to staff that it was the first complaint lodged against Lauer in his career at the network. But he said ‘we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.’”

North Korea launched an intercontinental ballistic missile Tuesday that flew higher and farther than their previous missile tests, a bold response to Trump putting the country back on a list of state sponsors of terrorism.

North Korean officials said the missile could deliver nuclear warheads anywhere in the continental U.S.

The New York Times reports, “The president reacted cautiously to news of the launch, stating, ‘It is a situation that we will handle.’”

However, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis was more concerned with the technical advances North Korea was able to achieve.

INDIANA JOINS LIST OF COLLEGES WHO HAVE SUSPENDED FRATERNITY SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

ABC News reprots “Indiana University’s student-led Interfraternity Council (IFC) is suspending fraternity social events at which alcohol is served, as well as barring unsupervised new member activities until the spring, according to the university and the IFC. University officials commended the decision, calling it a ‘proactive’ move to help make the Greek community safer at the Bloomington campus.”

Indiana joins schools such as LSU, Penn State, Ball State, Texas State and the University of Michigan, among others, in taking steps to curb hazing and other dangerous behaviors associated with Greek life.
