Project Management – The Project Coordinator will support the PIs in the management of a large study on university responses to sexual misconduct. This work involves scheduling research interviews and research team meetings, managing the PI’s calendar, communicating with the team, organizing and maintaining a variety of forms of data, and assisting in managing project timelines. The Project Coordinator will take and distribute minutes from team meetings in order to keep track of assignments, due dates for deliverables, and open issues. Maintain paper and digital files on all activities related to the program, acquisition and management of supplies for research, research reports and scholarly publications

Website and Social Media – The Project Coordinator will maintain the website for the project. 

Budget Management – the Project Coordinator will oversee and track the various program budgets in order to be sure that funds are being spent appropriately and attentively to the allocated timeline. Work with staff in the business office in order to assure that funds are being spent according to university policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications*

High school diploma and 4 or more years of experience working in an academic or research setting

Excellent interpersonal, written and/or verbal communication skills

High level of proficiency with information technology applications including spreadsheets and word processing.

Demonstrated level of critical thinking, problem solving and decision making

Strong organizational and prioritization skills as well as attention to detail

Ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and visitors

Desired Qualifications*

Bachelor’s Degree in sociology, women & gender studies, education, public policy or other social science fields is desired

Knowledge of University policies and procedures

Additional Information

This position requires some flexibility in the select candidate’s schedule in order to occasionally attend research team meetings which may be outside of the staff members normal work schedule. Very rarely will these meetings be outside of the M-F 8-5 schedule.

This position is a .25 FTE (10 hours per week). We anticipate that this will be approximately 3 hours for 3 days in a week, although we are able to be flexible with our final candidate to find a mutually beneficial schedule.

The part-time salary range is $10,500-$13,125 (full time rate of $42,000-$52,500). Please note a higher salary may be offered based equity and on the selected candidate’s experience.

This is a 5-year term-limited position
