Good guy. Cool to talk to, was very willing to help me out. Only problem I had with his class was that many of the exam questions were focused on miniscual details instead of concepts which actually challenged our understanding. I disagree with the way they are focused.

Memorize the power point slides...knowing them inside and out is the only way to be prepared for the exams, but the multiple choice section is still tricky.

I knew all the material and still did not do well on the tests. The wording is very complicated and the questions are very specific. Only use the lecture slides. Don't need to go to class.

You only need to buy the book if you have a GSI that requires it. Although my GSI did, it was rarely used. The class was great, but the discussion was fairly pointless and irrelevant.

His tests are so hard that they are not fair. He tests on minute, insignificant details rather than the concepts which I personally find to be more important. On one test he created a short answer question that was worth 10% on half lecture slide (each test is 10 lectures, each lecture is 8-9 slides. Yeah. Not cool.) He basically reads his PowerPoints verbatim during lecture, and doesn't bridge like a professor is supposed to, and this makes lecture dispensable. Avoid him if you can.
