New York Automotive Museum To Debut Mini-Series

By Gretchen Kernbach on February 23, 2016

The Collector Car Showcase, located in Oyster Bay, New York, is an automotive and petroliana museum. Only having been in operation since January 2015, the CCS founder/creator David Jacobson launched a four-episode mini series about the making of the museum called “The Making of CCS,” according to a recent press release.

Each episode is 30 minutes long and will be released bi-weekly through March, the first having already aired on February 18, titled “Raise Your Hand if You’re an Expert.”

Jacobson takes viewers through his journey in curating the automotive masterpiece. This historical ride includes experts and collectors from around the world. You will also witness Jacobson’s stress due to contractors and deadlines. It really is a personal, inside look of the CCS.

“Documenting the building of CCS was originally for my own purpose,” he stated in the press release. “After a few weeks of shooting, we realized just how interesting and fun it would be for people to watch.”

Throughout the year American Muscle cars, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, and Packard make appearances. A lot of memorabilia dates back to the 1900s. There is a good chance many of these collectibles will be featured on the mini series.

Jacobson explained that today’s technology made it possible for him to reach a larger audience compared to who would have watched the series if it was on TV. “The Making of CCS,” has actually been in production since Nov. 2012.

Keith Muller, president of MVP Productions in Franklin Square, NY, said in the press release, “It’s a pleasure to bring this fantastic show to audiences throughout the country and abroad and to be able to offer advertisers the opportunity to position their brands on this unique show.”
